Parents are bound to accumulate pets. I’ve grown fond of a pair of ferrets the neighbor gave to my daughter. I’m still learning to overcome my fear of reptiles by caring for two leopard geckos. One was handed over by my granddaughter. Figured a companion would be nice since I couldn’t handle him as he was accustomed. He turned out to be a girl. Their crickets sing a pleasant country tune indoors.
